Dave grew up loving barbeque, because his dad, a full-blood Choctaw Indian from Idabel, Oklahoma (about as far south in Oklahoma as you can get!) used to take Dave as a young kid to barbeque joints in the deep south where they would eat barbeque while listening to southern country gospel music.
